Changelog

What we shipped, in plain words, taken from our commit history. Everything below runs in our pilot unless it says otherwise.

21 October 2026, later that night

Tested live in Slack, Teams and our Benigo workspace between 01:02 and 01:17 Israel time. Times are commit times.

  1. Teams: files in your OneDrive, with a native card

Decks, sheets and documents Beni makes in your DM are saved to your OneDrive automatically and posted as a Teams file card with Microsoft's preview. They open in PowerPoint, Excel or Word inside Teams, and an edit updates the same file as a new version. Pilot.

  2. Slack: the deck itself, not just a link

A deck arrives as the real file, a PDF copy and its first slides as images in one message, with an "Open live view" card. After an edit, only the changed slides are posted as v2 and the card updates in place. Pilot.

  3. Reminders in chat

"Remind me in 2 minutes to…" or "every weekday at 9, remind the team…". Beni posts the reminder word for word in the same conversation, once or on repeat, and can list or cancel the ones set there. Slack, Teams and Benigo.

21 October 2026

Deployed to our Benigo workspace at 00:30 Israel time. Times are commit times.

  1. A public status page

Every minute, app.benigo.com/status checks the workspace, app connections, Beni for Slack and Teams and the network edge, and shows uptime over 24 hours, 7, 30 and 90 days.

  2. Admin controls and memory controls

Admins can pause one person's Beni, stop a task that is running, and choose who Beni may message directly, ready for when Beni starts conversations. Memory can be turned off for a channel or the whole workspace, "@beni forget this" removes a thread from Beni's channel memory, and Clean workspace deletes Beni's memory and files after a typed confirmation.

  3. Spend caps, top-ups and roll-over

A monthly credit cap per person with a heads-up at 80%, admin top-ups that never expire, plan credit that carries over one month, and a usage view per person, month and day with a CSV download.

  4. The Admin page, approval rules and audit export

One page for workspace admins. Rules for which app actions ask first, which can only make things stricter. The audit log downloads as CSV or JSON lines, or is read through an API with revocable read-only tokens, and every response says whether its hash chain is intact.

  5. Beni asks for the app it needs

When a request needs an app you haven't connected, Beni asks in one line and offers the apps that can do the job, such as Outlook or Gmail, with a button to connect.

  6. Catch up on a channel from a DM

Ask your own Beni what was decided in a channel yesterday or last week. It reads only channels you're a member of and answers with links to the messages. Slack, pilot: the first live test at 05:04 found the messages but not their text; fixed and passed live at 05:25. Teams soon.

20 October 2026

  1. Security hardening on the pilot server

Every agent's browser now runs in its own container behind an egress filter that refuses internal and cloud-metadata addresses; sandboxes and browsers run under gVisor; no agent process holds the server's container controls.

  2. The full connector catalog

733 apps and 6,453 actions indexed, with a broker that signs every call, applies Off / Read / Read and write per app, and keeps a hash-chained audit log. Rolling out.

  3. A browser per person

Each agent gets its own browser profile, and the live panel streams only the browser that belongs to that panel's scope.

  4. Daily backups

Our own daily snapshot of every workspace, on top of the hosting provider's daily server backups.

  5. Beni in Slack

DMs and mentions in Slack, with progress reactions and the live panel one link away. Pilot.

  6. Group edit

When the channel agrees on a change to the file on screen, Beni proposes it with Yes/No buttons and applies it for everyone.

  7. Beni in Microsoft Teams

Private Beni in DMs, the live panel as a Teams tab, link previews and meeting notes from the transcript. Pilot.

  8. Word and Excel in the panel

Spreadsheets and documents render in the live panel next to decks.

  9. Credits and the Usage tab

Every turn is metered; the Usage tab shows spend by activity and by person, with a warning at 20% left.

  10. Edit Beni's files yourself

Open any deck or document Beni made in an editor inside the panel; Beni picks up your version.

  11. Reads the room

Beni decides whether a channel message is meant for it, so you don't have to mention it every time. Not yet on in Slack.

  12. Approval cards, buttons only

Only the person who asked, or an admin, can approve; typing "approve" in the chat no longer counts.

  13. Ask Beni out loud in a meeting

Say "Beni, ..." in a call and it answers as its own participant.

  14. Meeting notes

Start a call from the channel; notes, decisions and proposed tasks arrive in the thread when it ends.

  15. Private Beni per person, live panel

A private Beni for each person and a team Beni for channels; the live panel shows Beni's browser and decks as they build.
